What To Do Before Your Mobile Mechanic Arrives

It's happened to all of us. You're driving along when suddenly your car starts making a strange noise. Or maybe the check engine light comes on. What do you do? Panic? Try to fix it yourself? At the first sign of car trouble, carefully work your vehicle toward the side of the road. Once you're safely out of traffic, turn on your hazard lights to warn other drivers. If you have a cell phone, now is the time to call us. We'll need to know your location so we can dispatch the nearest mobile mechanic to you.

If you don't have a cell phone, or if you can't get reception, your best bet is to flag down a passing motorist and ask them to call for help. Once you're safely off the road, try to make yourself as visible as possible. If you have a reflective vest or jacket, put it on. If not, wave a brightly colored cloth so approaching drivers can see you.

You can check under your hood to see if you can identify the problem. Does your vehicle have all of it’s fluids at the proper levels, or is it low? Take note of anything that doesn’t look right, but it's best to leave the actual repairs to us. We have the tools and experience to do the job quickly and safely.

However, if your vehicle is beyond repair, you will need to call a tow truck. Many mobile mechanics will also offer this service. You can ask them to take your car to the nearest service station or even your home if you're stranded far from where you need to be.
